Fastweb excels in providing students with the resources they need to realize their educational pursuits, from the time they start researching schools to looking for a job. Also of interest: Fastweb provides information and guidelines for writing cover letters, interview etiquette, and more.

FinAid! The SmartStudent Guide to Financial Aid
This award-winning website is not only free to use, but is a comprehensive source of student financial aid information, advice, and tools. There’s even a guide to unusual scholarships (lefties, twins, and readers of Ayn Rand should apply).

Financial Aid Toolkit
Federal Student Aid (FSA) recently launched the Financial Aid Toolkit (December 2013). The toolkit consolidates FSA resources into a searchable online database intended for use by organizations and individuals who interact with, support, or counsel students and families on making financial preparations for postsecondary education.

HowToGetIn.com provides admissions statistics and requirements, for over 6000 colleges and universities in the United States, in combination with student reviews to assist students in the college search process. Helpful information includes college preparation tips and calendars, and step-by-step advice on how to apply to college and how to pay for college.

I Need a Pencil: A Service Provided by CK-12 Foundation
The nonprofit CK-12 Foundation offers 60 lessons, more than 800 practice exam questions, and a score projector (which predicts how the user will score on the real SAT).

Quizlet
The home page of Quizlet shows a live map of what people around the world are studying on the site at the moment. A wide array of subjects are offered, and there’s a mobile app available. You can sign-up for it using your Facebook account. The SAT prep materials are located in the “Standardized Tests” section. You can even make your own study set.
